HEALTHCARE REFORM RESOURCES FROM THE SOCIAL ACTION COMMISSION OF Greetings all, Wednesday, August 19th, President Obama will join in a call with the larger Faith Community to highlight to compelling reasons for healthcare reform. The AME Church's Social Action Commission, in collaboration with the Health Commission, has joined a coalition of faith bodies to tell the truth and highlight the moral imperative for healthcare reform. It is so important that you as one of the leaders in the faith bodies to be a part of that conversation with President Obama. Most of us have our own stories and history that would dictate we cannot sit out on this debate. In particular, we need to make the call to AMEs, friends of AMEs and all who know that something must be done soon to protect our children, our elders, our frail, and all who need attention to their health and treatment for their illnesses. It is a rare occasion for our members to be available to be a part of a telephone call with their President. Spread the word! Join the call! Use the attachments below to invite others and feel free to adapt them as the need arises.
