Membership Card Activation Instructions

Activating your AME Church Membership card is an important step for those preparing to attend The General Conference in 2020. Your AME Member card will be used to expedite the check-in process for the conference. The Member card also grants you access to group discounts via the Abenity perks program at hotels, rental car companies, online shops, and physical retailers across the United States and Canada. The Member card’s benefits are vital for attendees of the conference, but the benefits extend well beyond the time of the conference and extend to retailers over 10,000 cities.

It only takes a few minutes to activate your membership card, here are the three primary steps:

1. Visit The Membership Registration Site

On the AME Church website there are two links to our membership registration site, a temporary link in the upper right hand corner of the site depicting  a red Member card with the text “Activate” and a permanent link further down the page underneath the heading “Member Card Registration”. 2. Follow the “Activate Card” link on the Membership Site

Your card already exists! All of the physical cards have already been produced, but the cards need to be activated and sent out to members. On the membership site there are two links on the page approximately two thirds of the way down the page. The option on the left reads “Activate Card (You have a card)”, this is the option you need to select. This will lead you to a set of forms that confirm your name, contact information, and membership details. Your membership number will be required during this part of the process. If you don’t have or remember your membership number, fill out the form below and a staff member will contact and assist you with the activation process.

If you need to activate your AME Member card and lack your membership number, have questions, or need assistance, leave your contact information and someone will be in touch with you as soon as possible.

  • Let us know your location, particularly if you prefer being assisted via a telephone call, so that we can arrange an appropriate time to contact you.

3. Activate the Abenity Perks Program

After you activate your membership card, you will receive a confirmation e-mail in your inbox with a link to the Abenity Perks Program. This is the last step and it grants you access to the group discounts connected with your AME Membership. If you haven’t previously linked your membership to the benefits program you can follow the link below and click on the “Register” link on the right hand side of the page to complete the process.
